Abano Terme has a fantastic geographical position: it is in fact located at the foot of the Euganean Hills, which have a regional park of 18,700 hectares and are a real heaven for nature lovers and for those who enjoy open-air sports such as trekking, Nordic Walking, mountain biking, horse-riding and climbing.

Good news for golf lovers too: there are no less than eight golf courses available all within a few kilometres from one another. They are: Padua Golf Club, Montecchia Golf Club, Frassanelle Golf Club, Colli Berici Golf Club, Asolo Golf Club, Villa Condulmer Golf Club, Cą della Nave Golf Club, Albarella Golf Club.

In the Euganean Hills area we can find walled towns such as Este, Monselice and Montagnana, medieval villages such as Arquą Petrarca, Venetian villas and magnificent gardens such as Valsanzibio and the Catajo Castle, and beauties of the land such as the Praglia Abbey. In the historical centres and towns there are small handicraft shops where products and objects typical of our territory and culture can still be found.

In addition, we recommend to art lovers excursions to Venetian towns located nearby and easy to reach by car, train or with a promptly organized guided tour. As a matter of fact, Padua is only 10 km away; Venice, the most beautiful and romantic city in the world, is only 45 km from Abano; Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet and the hometown of summer opera festivals, is 80 km away.
Last but no means least the city of Treviso and its surrounding area called Marca has numerous vineyards which are only 50 km away. Also within the same distance but in the opposite direction it is possible to reach the mouth of the river Po.
